LICENSED & INSURED: WHY DOES IT MATTER?

When looking for a flooring contractor,  it’s important to hire one that’s licensed and insured. A professionally licensed and insured company can also help you to know who’s in your home and your possessions are safe. Therefore, making sure a company meets the basic requirements to do business in your area is an essential step in the decision process.

WHAT MAKE US DIFFERENT?

Being licensed and insured is just a tangible sign of the skill and insight we bring to our trade.  We are proud to be one of a few who carries a commercial umbrella and excess liability insurance that serves as a supplemental policy for several underlying policies. Your project is not meant to create any added stress.  The most responsible thing any homeowner can do is always employ a contractor who is fully and appropriately licensed and insured to protect yourself, your home, and your loved ones.

Licensed: Diamond Flooring is registered and approved as Licensed Home Improvement Contractors (HIC), license #192108.

Insured – Contractor or business insurance will usually require two types. We have both:

1. General Liability — Provides compensation should the customer’s home or property be damaged during the course of the job.

2. Workers’ Compensation — Provides payments to injured workers, without regard to who was at fault in the accident, for lost wages and medical services.

3. Commercial Umbrella and Excess Liability Insurance – extra protection to help cover claims that exceeds the limits of other liability policies.

We will be happy to add homeowner as “Additional Insured” upon request.
